From Pleasantville, NY to Snyder County, PA:
A Snapshot of My Journey
Although I currently live in Snyder County, I hail from Pleasantville, a small suburban town located in Westchester County, New York. I pursued my passion for Art and Design by earning two degrees in Graphic Design from a Pennsylvania college. My husband's job eventually brought us to Snyder County, and we have grown to love it here ever since.
My Passion for Animals:
Why I Wish I Had Pursued Dog Training Sooner
I've always had a deep appreciation for animals, and it's my biggest regret that I didn't pursue dog training earlier. Looking back, I should have known that pet training was my calling. As a child, a little Bichon Frise followed me home from school one day, and while it was every kid's dream, we had to return it to its owner. Although I love all breeds, dogs are my favorite, with bunnies coming in a close second.
#2 in District
Between 2009 and 2017, I worked at three different locations during my time with the pet store company. But in 2014, I felt like kicking it up a notch and becoming a Pet Trainer. That's when Scott, my brilliant mentor, took me under his wing and showed me the ropes. I worked my tail off to transform my store into the second-best spot in the district for dog training sales! Since then, I've been soaking up knowledge from my fellow trainers and adding to my own education. It's been a fur-tastic journey so far!
The Power of Creativity:
Solving Problems in Pet Training and Beyond
With years of experience in pet training, I've learned a lot and developed some valuable advice for clients and customers. My top recommendation is to think outside the box – creativity is often the key to solving problems. As the saying goes, doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results is a recipe for disaster. I find great satisfaction in helping clients tackle challenges, and have met some truly remarkable people throughout my career. It's always a pleasure to catch up with past clients and see how they and their pets are doing.
